AIRWORTHINESS / DI INSPECTOR TRAINING

Course Description:
This course provides initial or recurrent training for individuals assigned as Designated Inspectors (DI) or performing airworthiness determinations within an FAA-certificated maintenance environment. The training ensures inspectors understand their responsibilities under 14 CFR Part 43 and Part 145, including required inspection criteria, proper use of technical data, and procedures for return-to-service authorization.

Participants will review applicable regulatory requirements, inspection documentation standards, and the critical role of the inspector in maintaining airworthiness and regulatory compliance. Emphasis is placed on human factors, procedural discipline, and quality assurance in the inspection process.

Key Topics Include:

  • Regulatory framework: 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, and 145

  • DI roles, responsibilities, and authority limits

  • Required inspection items (RII) and airworthiness determinations
